The world is going to get a hell of a lot hotter very soon.  “Supernatural” star Jensen Ackles and his wife, actress Danneel, are expecting their first child later this year, People.com reports.  The mother-to-be confirmed her pregnancy on her Twitter on Jan 7.  “Thank you for all the well wishes. We are very excited about our soon to be new addition,” she wrote.

The expectant parents are slated to hit the red carpet on Wed. for the People’s Choice Awards, where Ackles will present.    

Ackles will join co-star Jared Padalecki as a new dad.  Padalecki and his wife “Supernatural” alum Genevieve welcomed their first child, Thomas Colton, in March 2012. 

The sci-fi cult hit returns on Jan. 16 on The CW.
