Weird Al Yankovic has landed nearly 50 million views of his eight new videos, which he began debuting in support of his latest album, "Mandatory Fun," which dropped last Tuesday.

The videos have boosted the sales of the album, landing the comedian/singer his first ever number one record on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 103,000 units.

Yankovic kicked off a week of promos last Monday with "Tacky," a parody of Pharell Williams "Despicable Me 2" soundtrack "Happy," and followed it up with a spoof of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," a song that focuses on the improper use of grammar called "Word Crimes."

Lorde and Iggy Azalea were parodied next, the New Zealand singer's "Royals" turned into an ode to aluminum foil that touches on conspiracy theories in "Foil," while Australian rapper Azalea's "Fancy" was given a DIY touch in "Handy."

The final four songs are original compositions parodying different styles of music. "Sports Song" spoofs college football fight songs and was filmed with an actual college marching band, "First World Problems" is about all the jerks in the world, "Lame Claim To Fame" parodies North Carolina-based rockers Southern Culture On The Skids, and "Mission Statement," which debuted on WSJ.com, is a spoof on Crosby, Stills & Nash songs.

The videos debuted on different sites, including Nerdist, CollegHumor, Yahoo Screen, Funny or Die and YouTube.
