Transformers: Age of Extinction star Nicola Peltz wowed the crowd at the film's New York City premiere on Wednesday night, wearing a sparkling royal blue strapless gown on the red carpet.
The 19-year-old rising star, who is the daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, plays the daughter of Mark Wahlberg's character in the film, who's an overprotective dad that stumbles upon Optimus Prime when he buys a beat-up tractor trailer cab for $150.
Nicola is also featured in the latest issue of online health and beauty magazine Violet Grey, in which she's interviewed by cover girl Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who also knows a bit about what it's like to work with "Transformers" director Michael Bay, considering she played the female lead in the last installment of the franchise, "Dark of the Moon."
The two stars reminisced about what it was like to film the movies, finding what they had in common was having to do a lot of running in high-heeled shoes.
"I didn't realize how much running went into it," Peltz says. "I can't even wear certain open-toed heels now. [My feet] look so scary."
Huntington-Whiteley explained that starring in the film franchise also has its downside as well.
"After you do a Transformers, you're like the new hot babe in Hollywood. I felt that so many meetings with studio execs were really just about sprinkling a little bit of pleasure on some guy's afternoon," she says. "I remember one man did bench curls throughout our whole meeting.
"Are you worried about being typecast or put in a box?" she asked Peltz.
"I don't know what's coming but I think it's best to just ignore it as much as possible," the up-and-comer replied. "I have specific ideas about what movie roles I'd love to get next and I'm being really picky about it."
Despite the foot pains and the pitfalls the two agree on one thing: it's all about the red carpet.
Rosie explained that during filming she would often think of promoting the film once it was completed; and Nicola added that it's "fun to come together with people who you've worked with for six months and watch the movie together and get all dressed up."
"Transformers: Age of Extinction" opens in theaters Friday, June 27.
