The second trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy was released on Monday afternoon following a chat with the cast and crew of the forthcoming Marvel film, and it doesn't disappoint.
The new trailer premiered on Monday following a Facebook Q&A with members of the cast, including Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan and Vin Diesel, along with director James Gunn and producer Kevin Feige.
Coming in around two-and-a-half minutes, the new trailer explains more than the first introduction to the five rogue criminals brought together to form the intergalactic group of heroes.
During the Q&A Gunn revealed that he's "contractually obligated" to direct a sequel whether he wants to or not.
"But, of course, I'd love it," he said. "I love these guys so much - the guys at Marvel and the cast. They've become very close friends."
Gunn added that those who haven't read the comic books won't need any type of primer to enjoy the film. "It makes sense whether or not you've read the comics," he said.
What about the Guardians' Earth-based counterparts The Avengers? When asked who would win in a fight, Diesel, who plays the tree-like Groot, replied, "*chuckles then grows into a large laugh*."
That settles that.
