Kendall Jenner took a huge leap in her modeling career Thursday night while making her debut on the runway for designer Marc Jacobs.
Jenner, 18, showed off several of the famed designer's fall fashions during New York City's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and caused quite a stir when she made her way down the catwalk wearing a sheer, see-through top that revealed her breasts.
The reality TV star and aspiring model came under fire for the revealing outfit. She also had bleached eyebrows and wore a short brown wig.
"I just recently turned 18, so this [Marc Jacobs show] is my big kick-off to start and grow my career," Kendall told Into The Gloss.com. "The New York fashion scene is crazy, madness, but I love the energy. I love everything about it -- like the hair and makeup today, it’s incredible. I’ve never had my eyebrows bleached; I don’t even look like myself!"
The look drew some negative comments from armchair critics on Twitter, prompting big sis Khloe Kardashian to come to her defense on the social networking site.
"My baby sister killed it today walking in the Marc Jacobs fashion show!!!... Congrats my baby!!!" Khloe tweeted before all the haters started commenting.
"She's too dope for you 2 understand!" Khloe continued. "Yall would trade places with her in a second! The hate is real! LOL bye haters!
"Oops I keep forgetting I'm supposed to be on my 'Don't sweat the small stuff' But I just can't pass up a good rant... It's a fashion show. She doesn't choose! Clueless."
According to Fox 411, Kendall wasn't even recognized at first and it wasn't a big deal until people started realizing who it was.
"Kendall was unrecognizable," a source tells the website. "No one backstage knew who she was. The photographers and backstage press ignored her."
The source added that Kendall was "relieved that no on recognized her" and "didn't seem to want the attention."
Shortly after the news of Kendall's revealing runway walk, Vogue magazine released a pictorial that features her in several selfies while wearing designs from New York Fashion Week (NYFW).
