Katy Perry has her second number-one debut as new album "PRISM" is tops on the Billboard 200 chart.

The singer's third studio album (her fourth if you count her 2001 Christian music release under her real name, Katy Hudson) sold 286,000 copies, passing Miley Cyrus for the highest selling debut of the year for a female artist.

Katy also topped the chart in 2010 with "Teenage Dream".

Pearl Jam's "Lightning Bolt," which debuted in the top spot last week, falls to number two, and Drake's "Nothing Was The Same" has climbed to the number three spot.

Miley's "Bangerz" falls to number four, while Lorde's "Pure Heroine" rounds out the top five.

According to, sales in the last week are the lowest since 1991, when Nielsen Soundscan began tracking sales, with just 4.49 million albums sold. The previous low came during the week ending September 15.

"PRISM" outsold the number two through number nine albums combined.

Over on the Hot 100 singles chart, New Zealand native Lorde's "Royals" is still on top, holding the spot for the fifth straight week, while Perry's "Roar" holds at second and Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" remains at number three.
