Katy Perry's latest single, "Roar", has knocked Robin Thicke's summer anthem "Blurred Lines" from the top of the Billboard Hot 100 after 12 weeks at number-one.
The video for the song, which is Katy's eighth chart-topper, was released on Thursday.
The singer's last album, "Teenage Dream", set a Billboard record for Katy as she became the first woman to land six Hot No. 1 singles from a single album. "Teenage Dream" also made its debut at number one on the Billboard 200 when it was released in 2010.
Katy's new album, "PRISM", is expected on October 22, and on Friday (Sept. 6) the singer will appear on ABC's Good Morning America, when she'll also reveal the cover artwork and make a big announcement.
