Drake and Chris Brown continued their feud Sunday night at the BET Awards. No, the two singers didn't get into any physical altercations this time, but Drake did whoop Chris by taking two of the night's top awards. Drake was nominated for 12 awards and landed only two of them, but they were big ones. Adding insult to injury, Brown's ex-girlfriend Rihanna was also a winner. (story)

O Canada! Canadian pop stars Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger (sorry, did you just say Kroeger is a rock star -- wrong) were married in Cannes Saturday night, nearly a year after getting engaged. Lavigne revealed that the couple wrote a song together for the ceremony, which she says they'll be releasing soon. So we've all got that to look forward to. (story)

"Monsters University" topped the box office for the second week in a row, beating out Channing Tatum's "White House Down" and Sandra Bullock's "The Heat." In fact, "White House Down" debuted in fourth place after "The Heat" and "World War Z," a very disappointing opening for the action flick. Superman returned in the top five again, coming in fifth. Lady Gaga kicked off Gay Pride week in New York City Friday night with a rousing rendition of the National Anthem. It was the pop superstar's first major public performance following hip surgery. The event couldn't be more special this year as the Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act and California's Prop 8. (story)

Sadly, a performer in hit Las Vegas mainstay Cirque du Soleil fell to her death over the weekend after a harness broke during a high-flying act. Stars like Ashley Judd and Nina Dobrev paid tribute to the fallen acrobat. (story)

Think "North" is bad? Jessica Simpson gave birth to her second child over the weekend, a son, and she one-upped Kim Kardashian in the horrible baby names department. Simpson gave birth to Ace Knute Johnson, younger brother to sister Maxwell Drew Johnson. Ace's middle name is a tribute to fiance Eric Johnson's father, not legendary Notre Dame football coach Knute Rockne. (story)

Kendall and Kylie Jenner were the focus of this week's "Keeping up with the Kardashians." The two younger half-sisters of Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are coming into their own, with Kendall pursuing a modeling career (shouldn't be hard) and Kylie chasing her dreams of breaking into Hollywood. (story)

Alec Baldwin was a little upset last week when a British tabloid published a story that his wife Hilaria was tweeting during the funeral for "Sopranos" star James Gandolfini. Baldwin referred to the reporter as a "toxic little queen" and threatened "[expletive] him up." (story)

Baldwin released a public apology in a letter to gay rights group GLAAD. (story)

But talk show host/newsman Anderson Cooper doesn’t think Baldwin should get off the hook so easily. After all, the media totally destroyed Paula Deen's career because she truthfully answered a question in a court deposition and got fired and dropped from numerous endorsement deals. Her upcoming book has skyrocketed to the top of the sales chart on Amazon.com. You can go there and preorder it with your Capital One credit card -- the big bank that Baldwin is still the spokesperson for despite his hate-filled outburst (he flipped out on a reporter back in February with racial slurs, too, but he's still employed).
