George R.R. Martin watched fan reactions of Sunday night's episode of "Game of Thrones" while guesting on Conan O'Brien's talk show. He also discussed why it is that he ruthlessly kills off major characters without thinking twice and even gives a status update on his next novel, "The Winds of Winter." (story)

Paris Jackson's suicide attempt early Wednesday morning wasn't the first time she's attempted to kill herself, but a family insider says it was definitely the most serious attempt. Michael Jackson's teenage daughter reportedly slit her wrist with a meat cleaver and took a bunch of pills. Police called it a suicide attempt in reports, but say she most likely didn't want to kill herself. (story)

Speaking of the Jacksons, Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter relating to the King of Pop's 2009 death, left Paris a creepy voicemail, saying "you are not alone." "You Are Not Alone" is also the title of one of her late father's hit songs. (story)

Legendary Hollywood actress and championship swimmer Esther Williams has died at the age of 91. The star, whose career peaked from the mid-1940s to the mid-1950s, popularized a trove of MGM movie musicals that featured lots of aquatic stunts and became the inspiration for the Olympic sport of Synchronized Swimming. British comedian Russell Brand, who was well-known to be a womanizer not too long ago, has opened up about his marriage to singer Katy Perry, revealing that he was "diligently monogamous" while the pair were dating and during their short marriage. (story)

Demi Lovato showed early signs of her future troubles when she was just seven years old. Her school teachers expressed concerns over her mental health, prompting her school principal to sit her down and make her sign a contract and promise never to commit suicide. Did we mention that this was when she was SEVEN? (story)

Ironically, "Girls Gone Wild" creator Joe Francis is planning on suing over a sex tape that he stars in with girlfriend Abby Wilson that she had on her iPad, which was stolen. Apparently it's okay to find a bunch of drunk coeds on Spring Break and film them topless (and ultimately having sex) and then sell the videos, but if it happens to you it's a crime. Chalk this one up to karma. Wilson is also the winner of the "Girls Gone Wild Search for the Hottest Girl in America" contest. She sounds like a keeper. (story)

Justin Bieber wants to go to space (the rest of the world would like to send him there also). He signed himself and manager Scooter Braun up to join such stars as Leo DiCaprio and Ashton Kutcher to take the Virgin Galactic flight. The singer also wants to shoot a music video on the trip. The singer dropped a $250,000 deposit to reserve the two seats. (story)
