Newly single fashion designer Kimora Lee Simmons was spotted wearing a red bikini on the island of St. Barts in the French West Indies Saturday, playing in the surf with her daughters Ming and Aoki.

Meanwhile, Kimora's ex-husband Russell Simmons frolicked on the beaches of Miami with his stunning model girlfriend Hana Nitsche.

Kimora recently announced her separation from actor Djimon Hounsou after five years together. The couple wed in Hounsou's native Benin, Africa, and separated in November -- despite not being legally married in the U.S.

Ironically, St. Barthélemy (aka St. Barts or St. Barth's) is the place where Kimora and Def Jam records founder Russell were married in 1998. His brother, ordained minister Rev Run of Run DMC, presided over their wedding ceremony.
