The woman who gave the world Spanx has applauded Adele for owning up to wearing multiple pairs of the body-shaping undergarments at the Grammy Awards.

Sara Blakely was thrilled to hear the "Someone Like You" singer is a big fan, and she tells Life & Style magazine that Adele is the only star she knows who has worn four pairs of Spanx to look slim on the red carpet.

She says, "Spanx used to be the celebrity slimming secret and has become the red carpet staple they love to talk about. We've heard about wearing double and triple pairs of Spanx, but I'm thrilled to hear that Adele is our first quadruple. Now that's commitment!"

Adele went public about her love of Spanx in a recent interview, admitting she wore four pairs under the Giorgio Armani gown she wore to the Grammys, but, "I took a couple pairs off when I sang."
