Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt wishes she had never mentioned her crush on rocker Adam Levine, insisting the revelation has made her look like a "fool".

The TV star went public with her feelings for the Maroon 5 singer earlier this month during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, revealing she was interested in him following his split from supermodel Anne Vyalitsyna.

She was embarrassed that The Voice judge had not responded to her interest, prompting Levine to tell reporters, "It's very flattering and very sweet and lovely to hear."

But Hewitt is cringing over her crush, and has vowed to keep her mouth shut about men she admires in the future.
