This Week's Shining Star & Falling Stars: Michael Douglas, Paris Hilton And T.I.

Shining Star – Michael Douglas: The Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps star is one tough son of a gun.
The legendary actor revealed on Tuesday night’s Late Show with David Letterman that he has stage IV cancer. But Douglas is battling the disease just like Gordon Gekko would knock down a hostile takeover.
In a cover story for People magazine, the 65-year-old Oscar winner said, “It’s a fight,”
And despite undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments for the tumor in his throat, the star of such classic films as Basic Instinct and The American President plans on participating in next week’s Stand up 2 Cancer telethon.
What a way to show a horrendous disease who’s boss!
Falling Stars – Paris Hilton and T.I.

They may come from opposite ends of the pop culture spectrum, but this week they share the same title - “Falling Star”!
Hilton and T.I. (real name Clifford Harris, Jr.) were recently picked up by police on drug allegations in separate incidents. And the similarities, amazingly enough, don’t end there. The heiress and the rapper have both had previous stays in the pokey. Plus, upon getting out of jail in the past, each of them claimed they were going to better their lives. What a dashing ex-convict duo!
The blonde socialite is expected to be charged with felony drug possession after Las Vegas cops say cocaine fell out of her purse. Wasn’t it just a few, short years ago (right after she got out of jail) that Paris Hilton was on Larry King Live saying, "Don't serve the time; let the time serve you,”? And that she was going to help set up a place where “women can get themselves back on their feet”?
And then there’s T.I., who was arrested Wednesday on charges of possession of a controlled substance after being pulled over for a traffic stop in West Hollywood. Anyone remember the MTV show, T.I.’s Road to Redemption? You know, the one with episode titles such as “You are Responsible for Your own Actions” and “Own Your Mistakes”?
Looks like these two may need a refresher course in practicing what you preach.
