NBC should enjoy this now, because its ratings are only going downhill from here. The network was once again tops all week thanks to the end of the Olympics, which boosted the network to second overall for the year in both total viewers and the 18-49 demo. It’s amazing the difference a couple of terrific weeks can make.
The Peacock network averaged 26.06 million viewers, down a bit from last year, but still golden. CBS was a distant second, with ‘NCIS’ and ’60 Minutes’ placing in the top 10.
Next week, with a return to the “normal” summer doldrums, should prove quite different from this week.
