On Monday, former Desperate Housewives actress and political activist Eva Longoria hit the campaign trail in New Jersey to show her support for Newark Mayor Cory Booker in his run for a seat in the Senate.
The 38 year-old beauty, who served as a co-chair of President Barack Obama's inauguration committee earlier this year, joined the Democrat to attend a rally in the town of Plainfield, before heading to the city of Newark to urge locals to vote for Booker in the Senate Special Primary Election on Tuesday.
She also used her Twitter page to campaign for votes online throughout the day, writing, "Having fun with @CoryBooker in New Jersey!" and later adding, "New Jersey don't forget to go out and vote tomorrow!! @CoryBooker for US Senate!"
Booker is aiming to take over the seat left vacant by Senator Frank Lautenberg following his death in June.
