Marina Toybina: Hollywood’s Secret Weapon!
Russian native costume and wardrobe designer Marina Toybina has been proving herself in the fashion and entertainment industries since the young age of twenty. Moving to Los Angeles to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise proved suitable for Toybina as she launched her own fashion line “Glaza” prior to graduation. The release of her signature designs was only the beginning to her successful career.
Nearly a decade post “Glaza” production, Marina Toybina has created some of the most elaborate and innovative costumes for today’s most popular celebrities. Toybina is incredibly successful in her designs as she does not desire to follow typical trends, rather she produces unique costumes that exude the individual personality of the artist as well as the story they wish to tell. Even though she is "behind the scenes", her work can be seen front-and-center on a-list stars such as Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Usher, Miley Cyrus, Adam Lambert, and many more. One of Toybina’s most popular costume designs was for Katy Perry’s “Hot N Cold” music video and is currently being displayed at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Toybina has also been commended for her recent, incredible designs for Selena Gomez’s “Come and Get It” Billboard Music Awards stage performance.
Marina Toybina, which we here at Star Pulse News are now titling "Hollywood’s secret weapon for all things fashion", has gained a remarkable reputation not only amongst pop stars but has also proved her styling talents for television. The #1 hit show The X-Factor has relied on Toybina’s fashion expertise to style their contestants and dancers. Though we know these personalities are not the easiest to please always, it proved no challenge for the incredible designer as her work on the show lead to her win for “Outstanding Costume for a Variety Program or Special” at the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards. Furthermore, Toybina’s impeccable fashion sense and remarkable designs have also been sought out for the popular dance show So You Think You Can Dance, where her pieces on this season’s show have been the talk of the town.
It is pretty safe to say that Toybina’s ability to produce stunning costumes as well as her overall success has made her a very valuable addition to the entertainment industry. As she continues to show off her innovative style, Toybina will remain an asset to Hollywood.
