Ericka Hunter debuts “Fight to Believe”
After lighting up the Broadway stage in NYC for 60+ performances as a lead in “Rock of Ages”, Ericka Hunter marks the beginning of her long awaited solo career this past week with the release of the first single off her debut EDM album “Fight to Believe”. Thetrack was self written with help from dance artist Johnny Rose and produced byKemal Golden, widely known for his work on DJ Vice’s remixes most noteably with Rihanna and Justin Bieber.
While we are thrilled to see Hunter taking the plunge in the direction of EDM, no oneexpressed more excitement than the artist herself. Hunter comments to Star Pulse, “Fight To Believe is a personal victory for me! It's my first single as a solo artist and I'm just so excitedto share it with everyone!"
Although this is her first dip into the rather large pool of electronic dance music as a solo artist, it is not the first time her wonderfully chilling voice has graced the genre. In April 2012, Hunter collaborated with famous French DJ Morgan Nagoya on atrack “Promised Land” which was released to outstanding reviews. As “Fight to Believe” climbs the U.S. iTunes charts it won’t be long before the angelic anthem resonates eardrumsat the local Los Angeles nightclubs and eventually the country; The track had its very first Los Angeles club debut/spin at AV Nightclub this past weekend.
With a shift from the prominent yet exclusive Broadway lifestyle to the sexy, experimental and universal language of EDM it is no doubt that Ericka Hunter is anartist to watch out for 2013. It will be interesting to see what other talents revealthemselves when her studio album releases later this year.
