From the Earth to the Stars: Silver Parkes Jewelry
2012 has proven to be quite a year for Chicago based jewelry company Silver Parkes. Helmed by windy city native, Sri Lakshmi, the exquisite and versatile jewelry line has gone from a local favorite, to the bright lights of Hollywood and beyond. With a company shy of it's second anniversary, Silver Parkes has already found a following with hollywood and sports fans alike... It seems everybody is trying to get a piece from the popular new company.
It turns out the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Designer Sri Lakshmi comes from quite the prolific jewelry lineage. Her family owned an incredibly popular jewelry store on the famous Jewelers Row in Chicago. Apparently growing up in that atmosphere rubbed off on the young jewelry protégé. Within a little of a years time, Lakshmi has created a brand rooted in quality and timeless pieces. Pieces that continue to find themselves on quite the prolific list of popular public figures.
Emmy nominated actress Carolyn Hennesy, a fan favorite from HBO's hit series True Blood, recently wore some of Silver Parkes' designs on the red carpet of a major Hollywood event; She opted for the Lemon Quartz Floating Cloud necklace and layered it with the Tripolia Floating By The Yard Necklace. Beloved television host Ashlan Gorse from E! News Now also is a fan of the Floating By The Yard line. She wore the the Taj Floating By The Yard Necklace and paired it with the Rose Quartz Drop Earrings for a recent episode of the popular series.
The fan base is not exclusive to the ladies either. Former New England Patriots player Bret Lockett was recently spotted at a charity event in Los Angeles sporting the new, and ever popular, Diamond Lace Football Cuff links. Even tough guy actor Tony Sirico from HBO's iconic The Sopranos joined the popular cufflink train wearing the Blue Topaz Cuff Links at a recent Hollywood event. The list of celebrity fans continues as A-Lister Brad Pitt and veteran actor Mark-Paul Gosselaar are noted for wearing cufflinks by Silver Parkes, according to US Weekly.
It seems there is no end in sight for Sri Lakshim and her company Silver Parkes. With an exciting first few years out on the market, it is certain that big things are in store for the company in 2013.
