Former NFL New England Patriot player Bret Lockett has been generating a lot of noise in many different areas these past few years: Distributing time between athletic training, business, the tabloids (courtesy of Kim Kardashian), a modeling career that has landed him on the covers of Krave and InTouch, and his foundation Looking Forward, however, he is now focusing energy on creating one specific kind of noise – his music.
Lockett’s family are no strangers to musical dominance with his cousin being the late Grammy Hall of Fame inductee Etta James and his uncle the late R & B singer Vernon Green of the Medallions. Under Lockett’s start-up label,
Inception Entertainment, his first music video released in 2011 titled “Let’s Go” under the guidance of video producer and director Erik Hicks.
Since then Lockett has channeled his musical vision into the Get It All Campaign. The first release came in spring 2012 with the self-titled music video “Get It All” featuring Prince Syc and DeJuan. The message behind the Get It All campaign is simple – if you start something, finish it; It is not a matter of greed but perseverance and dedication to what you are passionate about.
Lockett continues to develop the campaign and his Inception Entertainment label with expansion on the horizon to sign other artists who share his passion for music and the industry. As well, Lockett has recently announced that he is currently in the studio (in between football training sessions) recording new tracks to release at a future date to both Canadian and American audiences.
