This season of 'Glee' has been less than exciting for me. A huge supporter of the first season, it seems that the popularity of the show has been it's biggest enemy and the first few episodes of the new season are trite, preachy and head scratchingly awkward. Although I did enjoy the Britney episode, there hasn't been one since where I thought that the series was picking up steam again.
Speaking of steam, GQ's November issue is profiling Lea Michele, Dianna Agron, and Cory Monteith in a photo spread that any barely legal connoisseur could appreciate. Dolled up and showing more skin tha...

Yesterday, Vulture reported that Darren Aronofsky is currently in talks to direct 20th Century Fox’s untitled ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ sequel. According to the piece, Aronofsky was the favored man to take on the new ‘Superman’ movie but Warner Bros. needs the project to start production in 2011 and with reported script issues, they decided to offer the project to Zack Snyder, thinking he would get the project moving much faster in order to avoid any lawsuits. I don’t know why Aronofsky is all of a sudden the go to guy for super hero movies and sequels. He hasn’t made a huge tent pole a...

Finally some movement on the long turmoiled 'Superman' movie! There has been a lot of speculation and rumors surrounding the next ‘Superman’ installment and what they can do to breathe some fresh air into the franchise. We’ve heard talk of Darren Aronofsky directing, Natalie Portman as Lois Lane and Brandon Routh returning as the Man of Steel again and we know the villain is going to be General Zod but none of the actors have been cast thus far. Well we finally have official word on a least one aspect and maybe the most important one. Yesterday, Zack Snyder ('300' 'Watchmen' 'Sucker Pun...

Horror movies are usually full of tall, lurking serial killers, big bad monsters or vengeful victims, but every so often there’s a film that transforms what seems to be an innocent child into a frightening nightmare. In celebration of this weeks release ‘Let Me In’ let’s take a look back at some other kids that scare the crap out of us.
‘Orphan’
Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman)
An adopted child wreaks havoc on her new family and while the mother quickly becomes aware of Esther’s wicked ways, she has a hell of a time finding anyone to believe her. The way Esther manipulates her new parent’s...

Chloe Grace Moretz has been on a fast track to stardom since her break out role as Hit Girl in ‘Kick-Ass’. Yesterday it was announced she will star as ‘Emily the Strange’ in a live action adaptation of the Dark Horse Comic that was created by Rob Regar, with Universal distributing. The film is expected to center on the origin of the gothic teen and her four strange cats.
Moretz herself took to her twitter account to confirm the news and I have to say, they couldn’t have picked a more fitting and wonderful actress to play the brooding and macabre Emily. I don’t know if Moretz is handpi...

J.J. Abrams is one busy guy lately. Recently I reported he and ‘Dark Knight’ scribe Jonah Nolan were working on a new television crime-thriller and today Deadline reported that Fox has greenlit a show based on Alcatraz, the infamous prison located on an island in the San Francisco Bay that housed some pretty famous criminals such as Al Capone. Abrams is set to produce the series and will work with ‘Lost’ writer Elizabeth Surnoff and producer Bryan Burk.
There have been a few other properties that feature Alcatraz as the setting. A few that come to mind are ‘Escape From Alcatraz’, ‘...

In case you haven’t heard by now, the next and final "American Idol" judge spot has been given to none other than Jennifer Lopez. Say what? Yes, in a last ditch attempt to save what semblance of a career she has, J-Lo has agreed to take over for exiting Ellen DeGeneres as Idol judge number I-lost-count and is netting a nice $12 million dollar paycheck for her troubles. With her ultra glam lifestyle and professional turmoil it’s no shock she could use the money.
Lopez has certainly had her share of disappointments recently, namely her latest embarrassing flop ‘The Back Up Plan’ which fai...

Holy dream team Batman! Geek powerhouse J.J. Abrams is reportedly teaming up with Jonah Nolan to shop around a crime-thriller that Nolan wrote. If you haven’t heard of Jonah Nolan but think his name sounds familiar, that’s because he is Christopher Nolan’s brother and helped write 'The Dark Knight', 'The Prestige' and also wrote a short story that 'Memento' was based off of.
That’s enough right there to make anyone want to work with this guy. Throw in Abrams and I’m sure all the studios are clamoring to secure this project A.S.A.P.! No title has been given to the project yet but I’m ...

Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class is finally underway and as I reported a few weeks back, January Jones was signed on to portray the White Queen, Emma Frost. Well low and behold, we have some set pictures of Jones in full costume shooting some scenes and from what I can see here, her look definitely has me skeptical. It looks like she’s wearing a hefty bag with a funny Russian ushanka sitting atop her pretty head and maybe that's why she has a sour look on her face. Or maybe it's because she looks like a human Q-Tip.
I know Vaughn went with home-made looking costumes for Kick-Ass, but...
