Deadly Eyes

Rats the size of...dogs?  (And with the fake rat fur coats to prove it!)  We’re checking out the new to Blu-ray horror flick from the past "Deadly Eyes" out now from Scream Factory the genre division of Shout! Factory.  We put out the poison and check for plague below!

The Flick: There is an undeniable camp quality to the rat ridden horror outing "Deadly Eyes" that’s too B-movie to ignore.  Could be the dogs disguised as rats that run and roam the sewers, the 80’s acting or even the cheese effects that scream over the top.  But in the end it’s all of the above with a notable relationship chemistry between lead Sam Groom and intellectual hottie Sara Botsford.  Look any flick with a little Scatman Crothers getting eaten by rats action has to be seen to be believed!

Best Feature: Whoever did the extras interviews on these was smart enough to get the actors and actresses to talk not only about "Deadly Eyes" but all other films as well.  (Love hearing Lisa Langlois dish the dirt on everything from almost being Sarah Conner in "The Terminator" to her turbulent time on "The Slugger’s Wife!")  Good show Scream Factory!

Best Hidden Gem: Really loved the cool slipcover with artwork on this one – dogs in rats clothing indeed!

Worth the Moola: Fitting this one has cheese properties – cheddar does attract the rats after all!
