Beyond Outrage

Ready to expense some of that left over outrage?  Then follow us as we check out the new to Blu-ray sequel "Beyond Outrage" out now from Magnolia Home Entertainment.  We review the outrage and it’s ramifications below!

Beyond Outrage Blu-ray

   Title: "Beyond Outrage"

   Grade: 1

Cast: Beat Takeshi, Toshiyuki Nishida, Ryo Kase

   Director: Takeshi Kitano

   Rating: R

   Runtime: 112 minutes

   Release Company: Magnolia Home Entertainment

   Website: www.magpictures.com

The Flick: "Beyond Outrage" has to be the most mundane, boring and outright dull flicks about revenge that I’ve ever witnessed.  In this follow up to "Outrage" so slow is the lead up, so slow is the mid mark and so uber-slow is the payoff (what little there is!) that I wanted to hang myself upon completion.  Yes, it’s cool when tough guy Beat Takeshi (aka Takeshi Kitano) curses out the elders, dons a handheld torture device and seeks vengeance on all, but the moments are seriously few and far between and the only folks who will be beyond outraged will be the sleepy audience.

Best Feature: The 62 minute 'Making Of' is even more of the same, long, slow and uninspired.

Best Hidden Gem: The higher ups provide a lush courtesan for the aged Otomo complete with a colorful full back tattoo – hubba, hubba!

Worth the Moola: If you like your revenge slow to the point of a snail’s pace this one is for you!
