   Title: "Black Water Vampire"

   Grade: 2

Cast: Andrea Monier, Danielle Lozeau, Anthony Fanelli

   Director: Evan Tramel

   Rating: Not Rated

   Runtime: 82 minutes

The Flick: "Black Water Vampire" actually starts off really well, with a doc filmmaking team shown researching a local serial killer.  They ask around the town, visit his old stomping grounds and interview him in jail – creepy stuff.  But then there are whispers that a monstrous vampire might have actually done the killings and our four naïve kids head deep into the woods with no sense of direction to find out.  What follows is like a bad version of Blair Witch that eventually spirals into the ridiculous.  It’s a shame to – great set up doesn’t always equal good payoff.

Best Feature: The Behind the Scenes is as so-so as the flick, but at least there’s some more detailed looks at the monster in full light!  (He looks a little "Jeepers Creepers"-esk to me!)

Best Hidden Gem: The vampire is kinda cool – just needed to be in a different film!

Worth the Moola: Potential wasted doesn’t make for a fun night’s rental.
