The Flick: I know anything cheesy can be proclaimed a cult classic, but "The Incredible Melting Man" makes "The Toxic Avenger" look Oscar worthy.  Horrible acting (on all accounts!), terrible dialogue, crappy story and even the drippy, wet and goopy looking melting doesn’t look so much a skilled piece of make-up, but merely a disgusting spectacle.  It’s hard to believe this is the early effects work of master Rick “An American Werewolf in London” Baker – someone melt this flick before he gets blackballed!

Best Feature: Thankfully the Interviews with both Director William Sachs (“it’s not Schindler’s List!”) and Baker himself (who calls the film a “glop movie” and proclaims “it’s not Shakespeare!”) are candid as both talk about how the flick turned out not so great.  Best description by Sachs – it’s a flick to watch with “popcorn and a Big Gulp”.  Yeah, if you want to vomit it up after consumption!

Best Hidden Gem: Hearing Sachs talk about how they changed the tone of his flick leads me to surmise that it would have been a dud either way.

Worth the Moola: Not even for a laugh – bury for Baker’s sake!
