The Flick: "Crimewave" has a lot of great stuff within, but you can tell something is rotten in the state of Denmark.  A flick that is written by the famed Coen Bros and directed by Sam “Evil Dead” Raimi should be a slam dunk.  "Crimewave" is a mixed comedic bag with some great casting (love Campbell as the smarmy lothario and Paul L. Smith and Brion James as the bumbling exterminators!), some not (Reed Birney and his lady love Sheree J. Wilson are duds!) and some amazing moments (the Stooge style moments seen here are only bested by the stuff in "Evil Dead 2!") and some not. (The wrap around story sucks!)  Let’s put it this way - if you’re a Raimi fan it’s good to see how he’s grown as a filmmaker.  (Oz NOT included!)

Best Feature: The commentary track by a lobo-solo Bruce Campbell finally puts all the trials, tribulations and total studio interference into perspective and explains the off tone.  (Though it would have been nice to hear some words from Sam’s mouth!)

Best Hidden Gem: Love "Frankenhooker" mom Louise Lasser here – she practically steals the flick!

Worth the Moola: For fans there’s a nostalgic factor, but for others it may just seem like a past flick that was just okay.
