The Flick: What could have been just another bad creature feature is saved here by a handful of surly performances within.  Loved the gang of wolf hunters that director Louis Morneau has assembled for his monster movie; Ed Quinn as the quiet leader (man with no name look out!), Adam Croasdell as the charismatic killer, Ana Ularu as the dangerous dame and especially Steven Bauer as the bawdy big guy quick with the quips.  Their cool characters add a layer to the so-so CGI wolves and semi-predictable story.  Familiar, but going way past the Benicio Del Toro Wolfman like a shot in the entertaining department, this is a hairy tail worth scratching your way to see.

Best Feature: The 'Making the Monster' featurette is a nice look at the more practical side of the wolf, especially seeing the skinny actor lubricating his way into the suit!

Best Hidden Gem: The 'Unrated Version' here is a mere one-minute more – blink and miss the mayhem!

Worth the Moola: For a beastly good time follow the hunters here – in the area of entertaining they know the way.
