The Flick: I never though revisiting this material was a stroke of genius.  There was a visceral and instinctual horror prowess within John Carpenter’s "Halloween" that in the sequel felt tired and uninspired.  What’s most damning about this Rick Rosenthal helmed outing was that all the new side characters (a pre-Last Starfighter Lance Guest and a hairy Leo Rossi!) brought in to add new life fall seriously flat and make for some unaffecting Myers kills.  Pleasence and Curtis try to rekindle the fire that made the first film such a nail-bitter, but it feels like a genre case o going through the motions for moola.

Best Feature: What could have been the best of the bunch, a making-of doc entitled 'The Nightmare Isn’t Over' is damned by the fact that all three original icons Pleasence (understandable - RIP), Curtis (she had something better to do?!) and Carpenter are all MIA – not so much fun.

Best Hidden Gem: Loved during the 'Horror’s Hallowed Grounds' feature where host Sean Clark runs into a bitter and angry Robert Rusler out for 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 2' business – fun stuff!

Worth the Moola: A "Halloween II" special edition without at least Jamie Lee Curtis is kind of like having a Comic Book Convention without any comic books – what’s the point?
