The Flick: I always thought Mick Garris had a natural flair for horror material, but what the frig was Stephen King thinking when he wrote this perverse little tale?  Obviously smoking the wacky tabbacy, King spends most of his story and Garris’s movie in the throws of skin-to-skin passion between mom Alice Krige and son Brian Krause and not so much with hot new girlfriend Madchen Amick.  (What a waste!)  Cheesy effects (the car changes model...and color!), sad story devices (Sleepwalkers are tormented by...cats!) and bad make-up work will leave most folks walking out, sleepy or not.  (Good opening with Mark Hamill though!)

Best Feature: Is a trailer really considered a special feature?  (Don't complain – there could have been more!)

Best Hidden Gem: A for a second Joe Dante and John Landis cameo, but best shot in the film has to go to a screaming with mouth open Hellboy Ron Perlman.

Worth the Moola: Want a flick to put you to sleep like a King – rent this one with "Maximum Overdrive" for an extra long nap!
