What could be so wrong that one would want to end it all in a single jump?  And could you really go through with it if Elizabeth Banks was your negotiator?  We’re checking in with the new flick "Man on a Ledge," now out on Blu-ray from Summit Entertainment.  Don't look down – except to read my review!

The Flick: "Man on a Ledge" is actually a very simple title for a film with a lot of layers.  It’s that very complexity in story and plot that drives the film and stops it from jumping into been there done that territory.  And while the cast is decent it’s the solemn, earnest and downright captivating work by the fetching and brilliant Elizabeth Banks that steals the show here.  As a weary cop with a past loaded with demons, Banks shows she has much more than comedy in her cache.  Forget the young and feisty in bra and panties Genesis Rodriguez, I like my female characters like I like my coffee – strong and sweet.

Best Feature: Proving she’s still funny, they’ve included the "Man on a Ledge" trailer with a running commentary with Banks who comments on everything from her serious face to the aging like a fine wine looks of Ed Harris – love Banks in bawdy mode!

Best Hidden Gem: Banks.  Oh, and did I mention Elizabeth Banks?

Worth the Moola: Decent action, decent story, decent flick...and Elizabeth Banks.  Nuff said.
