Must.  Get.  Sister.  Back.  Blonde haired, dough-eyed gal Amanda Seyfried heads out in search of her missing sister in the new to Blu-ray thriller "Gone," out now from Summit Home Entertainment.  Review clues below!

Gone Blu-ray

   Title: "Gone"

   Grade: 3 1/2

Cast: Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer Carpenter, Wes Bentley

   Director: Heitor Dhalia

   Rating: PG-13

   Runtime: 95 minutes

   Release Company: Summit Home Entertainment

The Flick: As a thriller, "Gone" could have headed the way of the Shyamalan with a twist ending or even been De Palma-esk with mental problems, but what is so satisfying is how "Gone" is none of the above.  Sure it’s hard to believe that the fetching Amanda Seyfried could eclipse the cops with her rookie investigatory techniques, could out run police and even wave a gun in a threatening manner, but damn it all if I didn’t dig the sass of Seyfried here.  As a girl determined to find her missing sister, she comes off almost like a female Bryan Mills of Taken, sans the CIA training.  Is "Gone" a perfect film – hardly.  Is it an entertaining one?  You betcha!

Best Feature: No features!  Shame on all involved for no extra Seyfried in any capacity – stars off folks!

Best Hidden Gem: Love seeing Seyfried in the same frame and facing off with genre favorite Joel David Moore.

Worth the Moola: Purely for entertainment value only – nothing more, nothing less.
