The Flick: Formerly known as "Iron Invader," this Syfy flick mildly entertains more with the human characters then the sub-par metallic ones.  Meaning stars Kavan Smith and Nicole De Boer’s tortured romance is notable amongst "The Iron Giant" meets "Godzilla" like monster.  Plus it’s kind of hard to compete with Michael Bay budget bots, but "Metal Shifters" does add some alien green goo to keep things interesting.  (Think "Re-Animator" fluid for the "Spaced Invaders" crowd!)  Okay, so maybe cheese is on the menu and it’s way past it’s due date here, but as far as forgettable Sunday afternoon fare, "Metal Shifters" mildly entertains.

Best Feature: The 'Behind the Scenes' is somewhat amusing - everyone is so serious!

Best Hidden Gem: I did like Canadian character actor staple Donnelly "Danger Bay" Rhodes as the unknowing bot maker.

Worth the Moola: Bored to tears and need a mindless metal moment of escape?  It's cool to shift gears with this sucker!
