The Flick: What actually could have worked as a decent mix of drama and comedy unfortunately gets bogged down in taking itself way too seriously.  Amidst semen in the ice tray and candid chats to the camera about losing virginity, there is such an uneven tone ala director Dana Lustig that it’s not hard to see why "Wild Cherry" plays like a watered down "American Pie."  Not that I’m against the girl empowerment message within (on the contrary – it’s the film’s only saving grace!), but it becomes almost secondary to inane story draining set pieces.  When even the father figure played by Rob Schneider can’t save the comedic day, you know there’s trouble in screenplay paradise.  Bottom line - comedy needs to be funny and drama needs to be, well, dramatic.

Best Feature: The one where you can choose your own ending and almost re-edit the way…oh, wait, wishful thinking!  (Nothing here to see!)

Best Hidden Gem: I must admit I did get a little tingly seeing Tia "Wayne’s World" Carrere playing an educator.  (aka I’m hot for teacher!)

Worth the Moola: Nobody ever buys a record by a band that shows potential – they wait for the album that has it.
