It took until the fourth Fast & Furious to get Vin Diesel back. By then, the family had grown in the two intermediate sequels. The gang wants to get Tyrese Gibson, star of 2 Fast 2 Furious, back for a fifth one and Gibson is ready to get behind the wheel.

"Listen, love Fast and the Furious, love the numbers it did, love the cast," Gibson said. "If my phone rings for 5 I'm right there. They were all beating the door down to try to get me in in 4. Would've loved to have been a part of it. Didn't work out for whatever reason so my phone is wide open for 5 and I would love to do it."



They had hoped to set up his role at the end of the latest film. The film ended with three cars driving alongside the prison bus to break Dominic Toretto (Diesel) out. The third car was meant for Gibson. "Yo, that was the scene. That was the scene. Awwww."

At least Gibson has Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen to look forward to this summer.
