IFF Boston Q&A With Director Miranda July For 'The Future'

Miranda JulyMiranda July is a talented woman who dabbles in a variety of creative mediums:  performance art, writing, directing, and sculpting.  Her first feature length film, 2005’s “You and Me and Everyone We Know,” was critically acclaimed at both the Sundance Film Festival and Cannes that year. 

After that, she took a couple of years off, to work on other projects, before she decided to start on her next movie “The Future.”  Drawing inspiration from her performance art, “The Future” is about a couple that adopts to adopt a stray cat, which alters the course of time and space, testing their faith in each other and themselves.  During the Independent Film Festival Boston, I had the opportunity to chat with Miranda about “The Future” and her artwork in the following videos:
