With Sherri Shepherd’s shocking elimination last week on Dancing With The Stars, many of the stars were on edge going into this week’s result show. But, with a fiery encore performance by Maria and Derek, the evening seemed to get off to a spicier start than Monday night.
Some of the other performances of the night were from Train, Sheila E. and Selena Gomez, who all helped turn up the heat and ease some of the tension throughout the night. Last night was another hot and eventful one. Here were the judges scores going into the elimination:
1. Katherine Jenkins & Mark Ballas- 134
2. William Levy & Cheryl Burke-128
3. Maria Menounos & Derek Hough- 126
3. Roshon Fegan & Chelsie Hightower-126
5. Donald Driver & Peta Murgatroyd- 125
6. Jaleel White & Kym Johnson-119
7. Gladys Knight & Tristan MacManus - 108
8. Gavin DeGraw & Karina Smirnoff- 107
8. Melissa Gilbert & Maks Chmerkovskiy- 107
The eliminations began with Maria, Gladys and Melissa being called to the front, and all three of the ladies were saved. I honestly thought that Melissa would be placed in the bottom because she had the weaker performance out of the two. But, I was glad to see that she was saved and would be returning for another week.
Next, William, Katherine and Donald were called to the front, and all were saved as the first group. After last week’s show I really didn’t know what to expect, since Roshon, who was a top performer, was placed in the bottom. But, I was glad to see that all three of these stars were saved.
Lastly, Roshon, Jaleel and Gavin were called to the front, and Jaleel and Gavin were placed in the bottom to cha-cha-cha. The two danced off and the judges unanimously voted for Gavin to be eliminated.
The singer's final words were: "It's been amazing. My family got to have a great time. And we reunited in a lot of ways."
Thoughts? Was Gavin's elimination deserving? Also, what did you think about the dance duel?
