British filmmaker Richard Curtis is planning to use the holidays to reconnect with his Love Actually cast a decade after the movie became a big hit.
The director has no plans to make a sequel but he would like to keep in touch with the stars of the festive love story, and he believes the anniversary - and the fact the film airs in Britain on Christmas Day (25Dec13) - will give him the perfect opportunity to get in touch with some of the players he hasn't spoken to for years.
He explains, "Can you imagine anything less likely than a reunion? It’s so interesting with people who are famous and busy. You sort of know we’d all enjoy it, but when the call came in, they’d probably think it was duty.
"What I might try and do is see some of them and get in touch with some of them. Andrew (Lincoln) is away now a lot but I used to see him a bunch, and I’ve sent Liam (Neeson) a Christmas card. I may just politely remind everyone that it’s been 10 years."
The film also starred Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant and Keira Knightley.
