Cory Monteith's band to release music recorded before actor's death
Cory Monteith's bandmates are preparing to release the music they recorded with the Glee star before his death this summer.
The actor was working on an album with his group Bonnie Dune and planning a tour before his sudden death in July from a drug overdose.
The musicians have now decided to finish the album they started with the actor and release the music they were working on before Monteith passed away.
Lead singer Justin Wilczynski tells JustJared.com, "We had recorded the EP Miramar this last year working around Cory's hectic Glee schedule, tracking his drums and background vocals when ever he had free time. We were planning on touring the U.S. and Canada summer 2014 promoting our new EP... We never could of imagined something so tragic and devastating could happen to our bandmate, and more importantly, our close friend. Unsure of how to move on after losing Cory, we have taken our time to finish this album. We know he is an irreplaceable part of Bonnie Dune, but we will continue to make music, something he loved to do and will start playing shows again in 2014, where we made some of our greatest memories together."
The Miramar EP is due for release on 4 February .
