Rihanna teams with Shakira for duet
Rihanna has followed in the footsteps of superstar Beyonce and recorded a duet with Colombian beauty Shakira.
Rapper Pitbull reveals he had initially wanted to recruit the Umbrella hitmaker for his hit song Timber, but she was already busy in the studio with the Latin singer, so he decided to team up with Ke$ha for the track instead.
He says, "The person we were looking at first to work on that record was actually Rihanna! And Rihanna had something she had to do with Shakira and wasn't able to work on our record."
The Rihanna/Shakira collaboration is expected to feature on the new mother's next album, the follow up to 2010's Sale el Sol.
Beyonce scored a pop hit with Shakira in 2007 with Beautiful Liar.
