Assault charges against real 127 Hours hero dismissed
Assault charges against the adventurer James Franco portrayed in 127 Hours have been dropped.
Aron Ralston, who was forced to amputate his own arm after becoming trapped by a boulder during a hiking accident in Utah, was arrested on Sunday (08Dec13) on charges of assaulting minors, but in court on Monday (09Dec13) the case against him was dismissed.
Reports suggest prosecutors didn't have the evidence to convict him.
His girlfriend, Vita Shannon, is still facing two criminal charges for allegedly assaulting Aron in front of their eight-month-old child, according to TMZ.com.
