Jennifer Garner: 'Ben Affleck convinced me to take Dallas Buyers Club role'
Actress Jennifer Garner has credited her husband Ben Affleck for encouraging her to star in Dallas Buyers Club.
The mother of three admits she was hesitant to leave her children at home in order to head back to the big screen, but her Oscar-winning partner convinced her it was the right choice.
She tells Good Morning America, "At the end of (TV show) Alias I had my first child and so I've worked less with each baby and this movie I wasn't sure that I wanted to do it. I'm comfortable at home. I like being at home.
"My husband, Ben, really encouraged me to do it. He really said, 'It's time.'"
Garner plays a doctor in the film about a homophobic drug addict who contracts HIV.
Dallas Buyers Club, which also stars Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto, hits theatres in November (13).
