Country singer Carrie Underwood has been forced to apologise to her neighbours after setting off a fire alarm while cooking.

The Before He Cheats hitmaker caused chaos in her kitchen as she attempted to make a meal for her sports star husband Mike Fisher on Saturday (19Oct13).

The singer took to her Twitter.com blog to apologise to her neighbours for the noisy disturbance, writing, "I set off the fire alarm in my apartment trying to make dinner... Oops! Sorry neighbors."

Underwood revealed last year (12) that she was working on improving her cooking skills, saying, "I mean I try... I want to be that mum some day. 'My mum makes the best fill-in-the-blank.' I would love to be that, so I am working on it."
