Robert De Niro: 'I wish Gandolfini had been healthier'
Robert De Niro has opened up about the death of James Gandolfini, revealing he wishes the heavyweight The Sopranos star had been more healthy.
Gandolfini was reportedly in talks to join De Niro in the film Eating With the Enemy when he suffered a heart attack and died in Italy on 19 June (13), and now the Raging Bull star has spoken about the tragedy.
He tells DuJour magazine, "He was too young. I wish that he had been more maybe proactive about his health. I don't know what he did about that, but I wish he had been. It shouldn't have happened."
