Pop star Lady Gaga played a concert comeback on Sunday (01Sep13) as she opened the month-long iTunes Festival in London.
Adele and One Direction's Niall Horan were in the audience for Gaga's hour-long show at the Roundhouse venue, where she played her first full gig since calling off her world tour earlier this year (13) to undergo hip surgery.
Gaga performed opening track Aura in a cage hovering above the stage, telling the crowd, "What's up, London? Do you have to scream so loud? I can barely hear myself."
She later added, "To say that I've missed you, it's a bit of an understatement."
The Born This Way hitmaker, who sang eight songs from upcoming album ARTPOP and none of her hits, also gave fans a look at the "real" her as she tore off her wig to reveal her short brunette hair.
She explained, "When I didn't feel strong enough to be me, I created someone else. And it worked. So here I am, the human underneath the wigs. This is my real hair."
Gaga was the first act to play this year's (13) iTunes Festival, which will also include shows by Sir Elton John, Queens Of The Stone Age, Justin Timberlake, and Katy Perry.
