Actor Bryan Cranston has set the record straight over reports he is set to play Superman villain Lex Luthor, insisting he has not been cast in the coveted role.
The Hollywood star was said to have inked a deal to play the superhero's arch-nemesis in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, but he insists the rumours are just that.
He tells the Boston Globe, "This is all news to me."
Cranston went on to joke that he was linked to the part thanks because he sports a shaved head in hit TV drama Breaking Bad, adding, "I think that maybe my name is bandied about because I'm known to be bald. 'What bald guy can we get?' The reality is they can take any actor and shave his head or put a bald cap on him."
Last month (Aug13), Ben Affleck was confirmed for the part of Batman in the Man of Steel follow-up, and British actor Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman.
