The Gibson Brothers lead nominations for International Bluegrass Music Awards
The Gibson Brothers will lead the way at the 2013 International Bluegrass Music Awards after picking up eight nominations.
The group will compete in the Vocal Group category and Album of the Year for They Called It Music. The project's title track is up for Song of the Year, while the stars will try to defend their 2012 title of Entertainer of the Year, going up against Balsam Range, Blue Highway, Dailey & Vincent and The Del McCoury Band.
Balsam Range scored seven nods, while Alison Krauss & Union Station have six nominations.
The winners will be announced during a ceremony hosted by the Steep Canyon Rangers in Raleigh, North Carolina on 26 September (13).
During the event, legendary musicians Tony Rice and Paul Warren will be inducted into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame.
