Doctor Who fans have been asked to contribute memorabilia to a major exhibition celebrating the sci-fi show's 50th year.

The display at the National Media Museum in Bradford, England, will focus on devotees' relationship with the long-running cult series.

Curator Toni Booth has asked Doctor Who's loyal fans to lend official merchandise they have collected, their own interesting stories as well as "more personal homemade objects".

She adds, "We want to know why you have this object, when you got it, and your feelings towards Doctor Who then and now."

A 50th anniversary episode of Doctor Who, starring Matt Smith as the Time Lord, is set to air in the U.K. on 23 November (13).
