Bob Dylan parts ways with backing guitarist
Bob Dylan has quietly parted ways with his touring guitarist Duke Robillard, three months after he joined the folk rock icon's backing band.
There has been no official announcement about the departure, but the blues musician played his 27th and final show with the legendary star in Nashville, Tennessee on 30 June (13) and he has since been replaced by Charlie Sexton, who has performed with Dylan on and off for years.
Robillard hinted at trouble on the road late last month (Jun13) when he took to Facebook.com to write, "For sale: Bob Dylan CD and record collection, slightly used... I will be selling a lot of guitars and amps soon. I'll keep you posted."
The guitarist joined the singer's band in April (13) as a replacement for Sexton, reports RollingStone.com.
A representative for Dylan has declined to comment on the reports.
