Carey Mulligan the favourite to play Clinton in biopic - report
British actress Carey Mulligan has emerged as the frontrunner to portray former U.S. First Lady, New York senator and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton in a new biopic.
Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Chastain and Emma Stone had previously been linked to the role, but Chastain recently insisted she knew nothing about the project and now sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that The Great Gatsby star Mulligan is slated to play the politician in Rodham.
Reports suggest she is the producers' top choice to play Clinton during her formative years in public service.
