The Wanted Scrapped 2012 Album Of 'Mediocre' Songs
The Wanted scrapped a finished album they recorded last year (12) after bandmates agreed the songs were at best "mediocre".
The group relocated to Los Angeles to start all over again and teamed up with top producers and songwriters like prolific hitmaker Lukasz 'Dr. Luke' Gottwald.
They've since recorded as many as 50 new tracks and insist they made the right decision to scrap the 2012 album.
Singer Jay McGuiness tells Billboard.com, "I think when we heard the album all together, it was a collection of good and mediocre pop songs."
Bandmate Siva Kaneswaran adds, "(There was) no real feel to it."
And McGuiness insists the band's new album will blow fans away: "It should be the best album we've done to date because we've certainly spent a lot more time on this."
