Rapper Nicki Minaj has confirmed she will not return to American Idol for a second season, just hours after MARIAH CAREY announced her departure.

The Superbass hitmaker took to Twitter.com on Thursday (30May13) to let her followers know she would be leaving the show after one series.

Minaj wrote, "Thank you American Idol for a life changing experience! Wouldn't trade it for the world! Time to focus on the Music!!! Mmmuuuaahhh!!!"

With Carey and Minaj on their way out, and veteran judge Randy Jackson already given a proper goodbye on the season 12 finale, country superstar Keith Urban is the lone person on the panel. It is not known whether he will return for the next season.
